After Your Purchase

Moving can be an overwhelming experience alone, not to mention any additional work that may need to be done around the house such as painting, cleaning, updating, etc.  There is also the process of working through changing addresses, putting the kids in new schools, updating friends and relatives of your new address, etc.

Some of this labor is just part of the process of moving and just needs to be muddled through.  However, the Powers Team is here to help you with any referrals that you may need for help with contractors, cleaning providers, plumbers, electricians, suggestions for local retailers you may need, etc.  Being a resident of Montgomery County, Maryland and the suburbs of Washington DC his whole life, Thomas Powers has a vast network of vendors that he works with as well as experience with local retailers.  We hope you feel free to contact us for all your future contractor needs.  It doesn’t matter if your purchase was 2 months ago or 20 years ago.  The Powers Team would be honored to assist you if we can.  We value the relationship that are built in the process of helping our clients buy and sell homes.

As always, we are available to give you a free market analysis if you should choose to sell your home in the future as well.  Market updates are available on an ongoing basis through this website’s blog and mailings.  We would be happy to add you to our list to keep you informed about your biggest investment – your new home!

Only a few short years ago, even Real Estate Agents did not know what a short sale was!  My, how things have changed...

Banks have estimated that the majority of short sales will have been processed by 2014.  More than 1 in 4 of all homes are now backed my mortgages that are worth more than the collateral that secures them: the homes themselves!

The Department of the Treasury recently put out a new progam called HAFA (Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative), which should make things more standardized...
